Abraham, Mohammed And Jesus...

I sometimes wonder what would happen if God were to send Abraham, Mohammed and Jesus back to Earth to consider what people are currently doing 'in their names', so to speak. I imagine if this did occur Abraham, Mohammed and Jesus would first all be greatly encouraged by the many decent men, women and children from the Jewish, Islamic and Christian faiths who are daily giving of themselves to help right the wrongs of the world as they currently exist. This would include those charities that exist, funded by members of one or other faith group, whose raison d'etre is to help the needy; tackling poverty, illness and injustice. And as they viewed this group of people I imagine they would all be greatly pleased by how Spirit-led they are and at what great work they're doing for the greater good of humanity. Then I expect they'd notice a group of lukewarm people, who express allegiance to Judaism, Islam or Christianity, but whose 'works' don't demonstrate any evidence of the humanitarianism that should naturally be a factor of such an allegiance. I expect they'd look at these people and feel the desire to want to encourage them to become active participants in the work of the Holy Spirit. Aware of their great potential they'd want to motivate them to 'get into action' and express their faith through ‘good deeds’ and 'holiness'. Then would come the hard part, they'd have to look at another group of people; those who profess faith in God, through Judaism, Islam or Christianity, but who express their faith in separatist ways, who, contrary to the Holy Scriptures, war against other people of 'The Book' (even sometimes against people of their own denomination). I suspect this would greatly upset them. In the Bible it says in John 11:35 that 'Jesus wept'. I expect that, in this situation, in the early years of the 21st century, when viewing the hatred and violence that some people are willfully doing 'in their names’, we might find that a new scripture is given by God to be added to the scripture which currently exists. And, in the context of viewing this destructive group of people, it might read: 'Abraham, Mohammed and Jesus wept'.
