Are you ready to have some of your most deeply held beliefs tested? If you're not, don't read any further. On 23rd April 2009 American news networks reported a freak thunderstorm in Atlanta. Lightning struck the biggest control tower in the world (or struck close by - researchers are not 100% sure) in the busiest airport in the world, knocking out some of its systems. The tower has never been hit before - and is protected against lightning strikes - but this one got knocked out nevertheless. Lightning also hit a building nearby, which appears like it might now be uninhabitable as a result of the damage sustained. Here are some links to the stories as reported by the news media: 1) Fox News. Fox News carries three video excerpts of the Atlanta news story as it broke on the day (you need to click on the three video boxes that appear on the page in the following link and allow a few seconds for the programmes to load, a short trailer appears first and then reports for the main news story): http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/Severe_Thunderstorm_Warning_Issued_in_North_Ga_042309 CNN: CNN covered the same story: http://edition.cnn.com/2009/US/04/23/ga.airport.storms/index.html A day or so afterwards, more lightning storms followed in the USA. ABC News: Here are links to the coverage of these strikes by the ABC News network: http://abcnews.go.com/US/WireStory?id=7431178&page=1 http://abcnews.go.com/US/WireStory?id=7431178&page=2 And just before the Atlanta strikes (America was battered by lightning storms over several days) several planes were also struck. Here are links to some of the reports about those incidents: Washington: http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/04/22/UAL-jetliner-is-struck-by-lightning/UPI-37121240418222/ Philadelphia: During the recording of the radio show I said that we should expect a 'freak' lightning strike, or words to that effect. I added that I felt that lightning would either strike a building, or strike nearby a building. In the various reports covering the Atlanta lightning strikes experts state that they aren't sure whether the tower took a direct hit, or whether it was a nearby strike that caused the damage. As the news stories also show, it really was a freak strike, because the tower has been 'protected' against lightning strikes and neither the current tower, nor the previous tower, according to the people who work there have ever been hit before. What's more powerful lightning storms raged around parts of America for several days, causing damage, considerable disruption and, sadly, at least one fatality. Kerin Webb April 29th 2009
I never cease to be amazed at how some people from time-to-time seem to advocate a position of Moral Neutrality. That is to say, they seem to support a hypothesis which says in effect: 'There is no such thing as evil. What one person calls evil another calls good. How can you therefore label one thing as evil and another as good? Those who do things that you or I might call evil, are really just developing spiritually along different lines. In fact we are all helping each other in the spiritual process.' They then go on to attempt to argue how the victim is somehow supposedly 'helping' the perpetrator along the path of spiritual development by suffering at the hands of the perpetrator. To use a popular expression, sometimes I feel like saying to such people: 'WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!'. Such hypotheses as Moral Neutrality are of course easy to conjecture about when you're sitting in the safety of your own home, resting comfortably in front of your computer, perhaps with your favourite music playing around you and a family member or pet who loves you for company somewhere nearby too. But, I wonder, if such a person who advocates Moral Neutrality in one of its various shades were suddenly to be transported through space and time, say to a Belgium Creche in January 2009 to be faced by a knife-wielding maniac, and if the hate-filled knife-wielding maniac was to say 'I'm just about to kill you, but I'm doing it because you are helping me to grow spiritually, just in a slightly different way than you', would the Moral Neutralitist (who seems to so easily relegate others who have suffered such atrocities at the hands of the evil) so quickly apply such willing acceptance to their own predicament? I suspect that, in such circumstances they would rapidly 'see the light', don't you? They might even (I suspect) try to fight the would-be killer, using all the energy they could muster to preserve their life - even if it meant denying the assailant the opportunity to 'develop spiritually'? In the news today it was reported that a young Chinese woman was killed at a university in the USA by a Chinese male. She was decapitated. How could her decapitation possibly help her assailant grow spiritually? For those who subscribe to the Karma model, all the poor victim has done is (using the model of the Moral Neutralitist) 'help the murderer to earn lots of bad karma', as she died in such a brutal way. It is clear, is it not, that Moral Neutrality is a facile theory that's full of holes and which leaks very badly when examined with common sense? I think it's very easy for someone to argue the Moral Neutralitist position - safe in the comfort of their own home - but let them find themselves on the 80th floor of a building that's spewing flames and vibrating frighteningly because it's just about to crash to earth due to some terrorists who just flew a plane smack-bang into it, or when they find that they and their family are stripped and forcibly marched towards a gas chamber as part of some 'Final Solution' let's see how enthusiastically they support the Moral Neutralitist stance then. It is, I believe, time that those who hold this position started to take account of the real world. When many people advocate this dangerous idea it conveys a message to those with criminal tendencies (did you know that approximately 3- 5 % of the world's population are dangerous sociopaths - that amounts to millions of people?) that the rest of us don't care about what they do. Worse, in a convoluted kind of way, it says that some of us might actually condone their actions. Well not me! Moral neutrality is I believe a dangerous delusion. It's one that I think needs to be urgently consigned to the history books, along with the so-called 'Final Solution' before another form of the 'Final Solution' rears its ugly head, spurred on perhaps unwittingly by the advocates of Moral Neutrality.
When I was channelling Spirit yesterday I was given another message regarding the Dark Souls who are incarnating in such numbers in our world (we know them them as sociopaths and psychopaths) causing so much evil - and the message stated that when large numbers of humanity work together for peace - and turn to Spirit in Love - this will begin to raise the vibration of our world. As this happens the environment will become less hospitable to the evil Dark Souls, so that fewer and fewer will incarnate, because, a world of kindness and peace will become an intolerable environment for them to survive in. Just as shark cannot survive for long out of water - so too the Dark Souls will find that they are unable to incarnate upon the earth when it is filled with Love. Let's unite for Peace together.
